Close to Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Zaandam is a unique piece of Holland: the island De Woude. Situated in the Alkmaardermeer (lake Alkmaar) it is only surrounded by water and can also only be reached by a ferry. Once you leave the ferry and set your feet on the island you will be captivated by the island feeling: away from the daily hustle and bustle, nothing needs, everything here has its own special rhythm ... ..

Situated at the beginning of our little village we rent our small guesthouse as a Bed & Breakfast. The cottage is furnished in original 50s style and has all amenities and a large terrace. Here you can relax during the day and in the evening relax with a good book, or even tasty snacks - it all depends on what you want. On summer evenings you can also enjoy great barbecues here.

But you can not only rent our small guesthouse, but also choose for a romantic stay in a covered wagon - the ideal place to stay for those who love the great outdoors! This is camping and yet somehow little different! With closed eyes on the drivers seat, a glass of wine in hand seems you hear the hoof beats ....
